Trustee’s Update
Welcome to a new school year in Ward 10, Trinity Spadina. Our motto is Ward
10 – Where You Belong. I believe that this represents our intention to ensure
that all our schools reflect the needs of the community and are welcoming to the
community which we serve. I hope that we can live up to this motto now and in
the future.
In order to keep families and community up to date on what events and policies
might impact the way things happen in the ward I have asked each of the schools
to include Trustee’s Update in their monthly school news letters. I hope that I will
be able to inform and interest you in what is happening in the ward and board
wide.
Starting in September I have been going to schools to meet and give
parent/guardians a postcard sized school year calendar with ward and school
council info on the back. If you have not received one yet I will be at the schools
over the next while and will be pleased to give you one. Or if you send me an
email, I will send you one.
There were a series of happenings at the boardroom table that are very
important to us. One of these is that the new director has asked for program
reviews in many areas of the board and I believe that Ward 10 will be included –
almost every ward is. I will keep you informed about this and if you wish to follow
